From your home's routines to the weather forecast, all your system information is collected by your indoor unit. Based on this data, your system optimises its performance over time.Features Intuitive Light Cues
These pulses of light provide real-time updates on the status and activity of your heat pump system.Always stays connected
Your indoor unit supports Wi-Fi, Thread, Bluetooth, Ethernet and 4G protocols, ensuring seamless connectivity to your heat pump system for continual optimisation.Prepares perfect amount of hot water
The indoor unit works alongside your outdoor unit to quickly and efficiently prepare the perfect amount of hot water. Have guests arriving and temporarily need more? Simply activate Hot Water Plus via your Aira app.The Aira Buffer Tank
The buffer tank adopts the same shade of grey as your outdoor unit and is styled to sit seamlessly alongside your indoor unit.
Available in 40 and 100 litres, the buffer tank is where hot water for your radiators and underfloor heating system is stored. They are included in all Aira installations because they improve the reliability of your heat pump system.
They make sure your heat pump and heating system get the correct flow rate, ensure defrost cycles happen securely and prevent system temperature changes from making knocking sounds. They even improve the durability of your heat pump system by minimising the system's stop and restart sequences during low-demand months.

The Aira Outdoor Unit draws in and extracts heat from the fresh air outside to heat your home and hot water.
Your Aira system is full of smart, connected features which heat your home and hot water with optimal efficiency. It's called Aira Intelligence.
With Aira, the installation of your heat pump system is quick, seamless and all in one place.
Will the indoor unit be installed in the same location as my current boiler?
During our free home energy assessment, a Clean Energy Expert will discuss where your indoor unit will be fitted. In most instances, the indoor unit can be installed in the same location as your previous boiler.
How hot will my water be with an Aira Heat Pump
The indoor unit, which distributes water to your taps and showers, can store and heat water to similar temperatures produced by gas or oil boilers (75 °C). However, heating water to such high temperatures is inefficient and unnecessary, especially since temperatures exceeding 45°C at the point of use can lead to scalding. As a result, water is typically heated to lower temperatures to optimise efficiency. Your Aira Technician will set your optimal water temperature during installation.
The buffer tank, which stores water for your radiators and underfloor heating, ensures the temperature of the water running through your heating system sits between 35°C and 55°C. Although this temperature range is lower than that of traditional fossil fuel boilers (60°C to 80°C), our Aira Comfort Guarantee ensures that your heat pump system will maintain a cosy indoor temperature all year round. If not, we'll come out and fix it.
How do I adjust the amount of hot water I have available?
During installation, your Aira Technician will set the amount of hot water your heat pump stores to suit the needs of your household. If you want to change this, you can do so on your Aira Home Energy app.
For a clear idea of how much is left, open your Aira app where your remaining hot water is shown in minutes, not litres. Have unexpected guests arriving and need more? Simply activate Hot Water Plus. Afterwards, your system returns to making your usual amount.
What temperature will my heating be able to reach?
As part of the Aira Comfort Guarantee, the 15 Year Performance Guarantee promises a cosy indoor temperature between 18˚C-22˚C, even on the coldest day of the year (depending on the room and based on expected minimum temperatures).
If not, we’ll come out to fix it at no extra cost.
Read our terms and conditions under “warranty” to learn more about our heat pump’s ability to maintain minimum indoor temperature.
How do I adjust the target temperature for my home?
You can change your home's target temperature via your Aira Room Thermostat or the Aira Home Energy app.
How long does a heat pump last?
With the Aira Comfort Guarantee, we promise that our Aira Heat Pumps will continue to provide a cosy indoor temperature for the next 15 years. Or we'll come out to fix it. And, if you want to extend your cover when your 15 years are up, that’s easy and affordable.
How does the Aira Indoor Unit protect your water from Legionella bacteria
To protect your water from Legionella bacteria, your system will efficiently increase the domestic hot water temperature to at least 65°C every 7 days for 30 minutes. The Legionella prevention process runs between 00:00-04:00 at night.
